Our Farmer's Pie is a pie made with minced pork shoulder, we colour off all the mince and cook it out with an array of vegetables such as welsh leeks, squash, swede and carrot. We add to the flavour with hand picked sage from the farm, garlic ginger and fennel, before finishing with a beautiful home made pork stock and then reducing it to our desired thickness.
Defrost from frozen:
Pre heat your oven to 200.c
Egg wash the lid of the pie with an egg yolk mixed with a table spoon of milk (sharing pie is Pre seeded and egg washed)
Place upon the middle shelf of the hot oven for 20 mins - for the sharing pie only - reduce the oven temperature to 180 and cook for a further 25 minutes. (or until centre has reached 75.C )
We love to serve our pies with creamy buttery mash ,purple sprouting broccoli and a beautiful onions gravy .. ENJOY
